UP 2.0m question

S! Guys,

Just a quick question - has Manchuria's server updated to the new UP 2.0m Bug-Fix Patch for UP 2.0?

JG1 just upgraded for Forgotten Skies on Tuesday, as I'm sure some of you have as well.

But noticed that it prevented us from joining Wings~of~War on Wednesday.

Yeah, Tiger said we can't upgrade i the middle of event. I set up another install so I could play both FS and WoW. I'm sure Tiger will be along to elaborate

The server has not been upgraded. I set the server, the FBD2, and DCG, to run together for the week. I don't touch it again if I don't have to. And, due to the fact that we switch sides and fly this campaign again, we keep everything as stated in the post on the forum and the documentation that you received when you signed up to participate. So, unfortunately Wings~of~War will not be able to use any new patches until the campaign is over. We have suggested that those who do have the HD space consider another instance of IL-2 on thier computers. I keep a copy of 4.09m and copy it to other folders as needed.

In the Ubisoft folder there is another folder called IL-2 Sturmovik 1946. I create another folder within Ubisoft for a given installation, say for Forgotten Skies. Call it FS, and then I copy IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 into it from my clean copy of IL-2 called 409, and so on. This way, you can disconnect at HyperLobby, Press SHFT + CTRL when clicking the connect button, and change the path Hyperlobby uses to launch your game.

My path looks like this for Forgotten Skies;

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\FS\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\il2fb.exe

And I can switch to 4.09m by changing it to this;

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\409\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\il2fb.exe

We are really enjoying Wings~of~War, so we definitely don't want to miss the opportunity to fly it.
