Unread post by Decker »

I am building my collection of 1:48 scale WWII planes. Of course the P-40 was the first.

Are you going to build them? Cool stuff. I have a balsa and tissue obsession. I have a 40" wingspan Guillows P38 built up and getting torn up by items being thrown into the closet with it. I need to take a few pics of it before I do something pyrotechnically awesome to it. I have a half built P40 with a 18" wingspan under the workbench downstairs.

Cool. . I too have been building for around 40 years now and have a stash of a few hundred kits to build. Here is a link to some of the WWI builds and how they are displayed on teh ceiling of my bandroom

I'll have to get some photos of the WWII stuff someday

The article on its construction can be found at http://www.internetmodeler.com/2003/sep ... on/DWC.htm

This is the first resin ship I built - the Italian Destroyer Freccia

Airfix 54mm Polish Lancer. I sold this to a collector in Korea of all places after it appeared online

Internetmodeler.com is a website my partner and I started back in 1998. I have many build articles on figures and ships as well as aircraft profiles scattered amongst its pages. My latest fun are a pair of 1/16 Radio Control Tanks .. I have a Panther and a Panzer III, both of which I have repainted and heavily weathered. The most recent aircraft I have done are 16 or 17 1/72 Japanese aircraft that I did two years ago. Ebay is a wonderful resource for acquiring kits.
