Serious Problem

Alright, so i'm patched up to 4.10.1m

Just installed the megapack

So about a year ago I was playion with 4.09m with UP2.1 and it was fine.

One day i took a break for a few months and came back. i tried to connect online but the computer would restart. so i decided i didnt wanna play that bad so i resumed my break from il2

Well, i'm coming back from that break, and... whenever i try to connect online with il2, my computer restarts. i tried connecting via hyperlobby and ip. and it restarts. The same goes for when i connect to teamspeak. when i try to connect to a server, the computer restarts.... idk if i should try what yoke said in the last thread?

What OS are you using? If it's Vista/Win7 did you set the program to run as administrator, that could be it. Maybe a firewall setting. That is a very odd problem, sorry I couldnt come up with any more suggestions.

Try posting at the SimHQ forum in the Hardware section, you will get some very good advice in a timely manner.

I dunno Rya, could be anything from a registry error, graphics drivers or who knows. Yoke is a smart guy so I'd take his advice.

Worst thing is back up anything you can't replace and the wipe the PC and start from scratch.

well now i have to ask what is the problem... this post your saying when you try to join any game through any means it restarts.
in the other post you said just TS3 .... please clarify the issues and post in only one spot so it can be followed and corrected quicker so you can get in the air asap.

okay, so i posted the second thread as of finding new evidence.... anyways the problem that i have noticed a pattern of is that any time i try to connect to an online game server, the computer restarts. this happened for two of my flight sims and both Teamspeak 3 and teamspeak 2. anyways, i check the sound card in my computer properties, hardware, device manager, sound, video and game controllers.
There are several things in this list, i'll give you anything that could be a sound card because i have no idea which one it is... lol

LEts see we got:
Audio Codecs
Legacy Audio Drivers
MusCAudio

MusCAudio is the only item listed above that has a driver option when i double click on it...

I looked around real quick and found a few folks had muscaudio listed in their device manager .
Now those posts were of a different game but they stated that the listing was not there before and didn't know how it appeared.
They simply went back into the device manager and clicked to uninstall it. After that they said their game stopped crashing...( different game but same type of scenerio of crashing ) but do you trust posts on the internet ?

NOW - I do not know personally what it is and all that techie stuff and doing an uninstall of it without really looking into it may be a bad thing. But if you have a good restore point you can fall back on then it may be worth looking into.

is it possible this could be some sort of spyware of some sort? because i'm pretty sure i've got some virus problems on this computer. but nothing that has hindered its performance until now.

The only thing i'm afraid of is if i uninstall MusCAudio that things could get bad if its not the problem...

I read some of the symptoms of a MusCAudio sys. error. the system restarts was one of them.
The site i looked at offered a downloadable program to fix sys. error but it looked like a shady site. so... idk where i'd go from here.... i'm not sure how i'd fix it if muscaudio is not the problem...

I just don't know... Advice?

alright so apparently MusCAudio is/ could be malicious... lol idk if that already was a given or not but w/e...

Also, apparently it is not digitally signed.

so, i'm leaning toward uninstalling it, but i want to wait for you to reply yoke, and tell me if i need to back anything up or follow any precautions, as well as an ok from u to uninstall it.

ahh i have figured out what my soundcard is. lol

SigmaTel High definition Audio Codec.

at least i think thats the sound card -_-

hey , farting around on a pc is the best way to learn , make mistakes , reformat , start over , fart around some more etc etc etc....

it's a never ending viscous circle I tell ya ! ! lol

Now again , I am no expert but I have uninstalled stuffs via the device manager , it asks if I am sure and not being really too sure I did it anyway...

If it was something that was needed on the reboot THEN I would have to dig more into finding drivers or such...

I can't say to do it or not on your machine... Lord forbid if I say go for it and it was a needed item and you can't find drivers for it.

But then I can't say don't for if it is the bad boy causing the issues then yeah we fixed it....

Make a restore point before you do either . That I can say to do.
