HELP!!

I just tried to install HSFX5.0 and lost ALL my mods in my JSGME. What Happened?!

Did you install HSFX5 into the folder u had UP installed in?

Short version of a long story.
I have a stock 4.09m folder that I keep clean.
If I wish to install UP or HSFX I do the required patches into a copy of the stock 409.
You have to do some renaming of folders. IE if you copy ur stock 4.09 you will see a folder in ubisoft called "copy of IL2 1946" or some such. I then "-" out my IL2 1946 and rename my copy of.

Yup! I installed it over my UP2.01 install. Toasted my game! No big deal though. I have all the mods etc saved so it is just a matter of reinstalling. Be up and running by tomorrow night. Like the saying goes..... When all else fails, dig the instructions out of the trash can. DOH!!!

Ok. Master 4.09 copy set up. be back later to make copies and finish installs.

It seems to work better if you do the HSFX5 and 5.01 over a dedicated install than over a UP install. Check each time you install something to make sure the game starts and that the version showing is correct. When you get the HSFX installed, you need to go to the JSGME that will be installed and activate the HSFX mods, else it will show as 4.09m install.

Yep, IL2 1946 DVD is 4.07m then patch to 4.08m then 4.09m then 4.10 then 4.10.1 then HSFX5 then the hot fix.

You'll need a second install for UP2.01

Ok. running into a problem. I am using the same UP2.01 download that I used when I installed everything before and it is not installing a JSGME switcher. any ideas other than redownloading?

Are you looking in the directory it self?

I get a shortcut but it does not work or recognise the game even checked in properties and shortcut path was correct. Will be online at around 8. And on teamspeak. See you guys then. As many people as I have walked through installs and now I am stumped.lol
