Not connecting to WoW server, with a CRT=2 message...
S! all!
I need help...
Tried to access the server this evening, just to see if my settings worked. Attempting through HL, I received a "Connection Successful" message, followed by the Mission Loading screen. That screen, however, only lasted a few seconds until I received the following message:
"The communication with the remote host is lost. Reason: (CRT=2 Failed)Timeout1"
I also tried connecting via IP, but received this message:
"Connection attempt to remote host failed. Reason: Connection Lost."
These are the settings I had in JGSME:
00_6DOF_Tracker_2_0_sHr
01_TougherBridges
01_Zuti_MDS_v1.13_UP
I also made sure to run the Ultrapack Updater before attempting to connect, just to make sure everything was up to date (yes, all mods were removed from the right column of JGSME before I did this).
I've had trouble in the past connecting to the WoW server, but never really pressed the issue. Now that I want to fly in the upcoming campaign, I'm really anxious to get this issue resolved. Any help and/or input would be greatly appreciated
Hope to see you in the virtual skies.

Make sure you are registered.. registration.php (read and scroll to the bottom)
Also if you are registered, make sure your game is using the same name you registered. If not it will kick you.

S! Decker!
Hey...thanks for the input. I am registered, and I do have the same name in my game as what I registered with. However, I do have one question: When I enter my callsign in the game itself, for some reason, the program puts an apostrophe at both ends of my name. I've tried, with no luck, to eliminate them. Could that be the issue? My callsign shows up on the upper right corner of my screen as this:
'RAF_DesertDemon'
Could it be that since I didn't register with the apostrophes in my callsign, that the server is kicking me because of that? Seems a bit far-fetched to me, but hey, stranger things have happened...LOL...
But, again, thanks for the input, and hopefully that is the only issue. I am really looking forward to flying my first campaign, and would be sorely disappointed if I couldn't because of some stupid punctuation marks...LOL...
Hope to see you in the virtual skies.

Could be. If you are going through Hyperlobby you need to make sure your callsign in there is the same also. Mine was not and it kicked me. so double check your login name in hyperlobby is the same as you registered with. It does make a difference.

Just checked HL...Login is the same as what I registered, just without the apostrophes. FYI, I sent an e-mail to Tiger explaining my situation, and our conversation about this matter, just to see if he can add the apostrophes to my callsign, or if I have to reregister altogether. In the meantime, I'll see if adding the apostrophes to my callsign in HL will make any difference (I doubt it, but worth a try anyway...LOL).
Thanks again for all your help so far. I really do appreciate it.

I believe all the call signs show up with the apostrophe before and after the name.

Just tried to put the apostrophes in my callsign in HL...but my callsign is too long, and I run out of space. So much for that idea!
Hopefully we can come up with another solution...

OK...something I noticed...
When I get onto a server via HL, my callsign is automatically put into the game as how I sign in to HL. And both DO NOT have the apostrophes attached, and that is how I registered on the WoW server.
With that being said, I attempted to log on to the Ghost Skies server this evening. In the past, I had the same issue ((CRT=2 Failed)Timeout1). As per input from another GS member, I ran the UP Updater, and everything has worked fine since. Now, I ran the updater before making my first attempt (in a long time) to connect to the WoW server, and I get the CRT=2 error.
This may be a stretch, but did I perhaps go beyond the capabilities of the WoW server? I'm not trying to be a wiseguy here, or insult anyone. Just trying to understand why I can't get into the WoW server.
All inputs are greatly appreciated. Hopefully we can resolve this by the end of the week.
Hope to see you all in the virtual skies.

I'm trying to connect for a test to 66.225.104.67:21000 but this server is down. Which one is discussed in this thread?
Thanks,
RAF_Sabre.

They just installed the new server hardware today so Tiger is probably still working on setting it up.
