The North Africa 1943 Campaign has concluded

Unread post by Tiger »

S!~ All,

The Wings~of~War: North Africa 1943 Campaign has concluded. British forces have retreated from the area. I will compile the scores so that you can evaluate your individual performance, but it has no bearing on the outcome. The Axis forces have won the campaign.

Congratulations to the Blue Team!

Thanks but it was team effort. Bozo sent an email with a screenshot and a note for which target to hit so we made it a priority to send bombers with fighter cover to hit the target. It was a great game but I am disappointed that it is already over. These maps are a lot of fun and the pilots on both sides are awesome. The real KUDOS goes to Tiger and =AVG= for taking the time to make and host these missions!!!!!

I think everyone playing would like to see a reversal on the teams. It's a lot of fun doing the campaign and then fighting on the other side.

S!~ Under,

I sent a message to RCAF HQ last night regarding the same. I am away on business the week of the 20th, so I have proposed that we fly the North Africa 1943 Campaign again the week of the 27th. Normally, we would switch sides and fly the campaign again with the exact same settings so that everything is equal, but I have proposed one slight modification that I believe would prevent the campaign from concluding early. I'm just waiting for a reply to be sure that there are no objections. I really wanted to fly Axis for the North Africa 1943 Campaign in the first place, but when Warren assigned you folks to the Blue Team I didn't concern myself since I figured we'd switch sides and fly it again.

I applaud you and your team as it seemed that we had the upper hand, but you were able to expose a weakness and force us off the map. The change that I proposed will make it more difficult to do so, but I'm not taking anything away from your victory. Against all odds you formulated a plan and executed it flawlessly.

I am looking forward to flying the campaign again with RCAF in their element this time. It will be a challenge flying against seasoned Spitfire pilots to see if we can use the aircraft available and team tactics to neutralize the effectiveness of the Spitfire. I anticipate that it will be a battle of epic proportions.
