Why I never bring cameras in the water with me.
Don't want to be the guy who videos his own death one day.

Actually my next big trip planned is for Cape Town early 2013. If you want the big fish, you have to swim with the big boys and damn it I want big fish!!!!
That video is especially freaky cause the camera goes in and out of the water. Hard to see it but that white was all over him.
The rule is when there is one near, always keep your head in the water and your eyes on the shark's eyes. Most times thats enough to keep em at bay until you can get picked up.

That's the reason I don't swim in the ocean ! Fuck that shit, i was in the boy scouts and went to Catalina island. Was swimming off the pier and thought that my friend had kicked me then I saw that he was like ten feet away so I looked down and a fuckin shark bumped his nose in my crotch like a dog sniffs it , holy shit I screamed like a bitch and made it to shore. Won't see me in the ocean again.

Wow zombie, that is a crazy experience. I can't blame you for feeling that way.
I grew up in Hawaii, lived near the beach and was in the ocean most of my life; Never saw a shark in the water. I am sure they saw me.

when I was young, I got wrapped up in a portugese man o war. Very unplesant experience but I love to swim in the ocean still. Like they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And I'm tougher than a $2 steak.

I LOVE to swin in the ocean, I grew up on the beach, snorkeling, swimming, etc. and I never once saw a shark in the water. If you're gonna be dumb enough to swim off the coast of South Africa during the summer there on a board that looks like the sillohette of a seal, then getting attacked it totally your own fault.
