Switching to Allied in FS?

I'm not sure if you guys were asked to switch sides in FS. Were you? If you were, what are your thoughts about it?

I'm asking, because we in 14./JG5 were discussing how we were kind of bored with the current situation, and we'd probably like to switch to spice things up, and work against the big challenge of fighting against you guys, plus Blue Flight, Yellow Flight... and Red (JG1) is returning to Axis.

So, if you were planning on switching, are you married to the idea, or would you rather we switch?

As of right now we are planning on flying allied in the next phase and have already notified Allied Command of our intentions.

That is not to say that we could not both switch over.

If we both switch, then that would swing the pendulum too far in the other direction. Right now, numbers are close to balance, with a slight favor towards Axis. Only one of our teams can switch and not throw everything out of whack.

If you guys are going, and are happy about that decision, then we'll let you go. Bing happy about it is the important thing. If you feel like you're being forced to go, and would rather stay Axis, then we will switch without reservation.

It's up to you.

We`ve discussed it amongst ourselves and the feeling is we can bring something of substance to the Allied side now. This isnt to say it was an easy decision as we have really appreciated the way the Axis side has helped us along and the thought of going up against you all is a tad daunting, but in the end this is good for the community and for the AVG Group and its component squadrons to grow.

Thanks Crash, but we are looking forward to flying with the Allieds and hopefully kicking the crap outta some huns. ;) It was a little wierd at first because several people asked us about it :? but then we started looking at how the sides were put together and saw why. Little talkin back n forth and its all good. Have flown a lot with the RAF209 chaps in years past too, so looking forwards to working with them again.

Besides, the Allieds promised us MnMs. Yours are all gone, Sir.

Well, either way, our two squadrons will be pitted against each other. But you will certainly bring the much needed personnel numbers up for the Allies. Provided you keep having huge Flights like you have recently!

Good luck, gents! And don't take it personally when it's me who shoots you down. It's just business.

S!~ Crash,

I'm not sure the other responses make it very clear, but the single greatest consideration when deciding whether to change or not was the fact that we didn't want to leave you folks behind. You have been very kind, and we didn't want to repay your kindness by repeatedly gang raping you. ;)

LOL!

And to be brutally honest as well...I absolutely dread leaving my trusty Me-109 behind. I simply love that machine.
