Only used one day but here are my first thoughts of the stick...

pros ---1) nice palm rest built into the stick...reminds me of the MS sidewinder

con --- 1) rest only good for a right hander...basically entire stick set up for right handed use


pros ---2) nice solid button clicks
3) easy to set buttons in il2
4) tension adjust by easy screw knob under base

cons ---2) gotta remember what buttons do what !
3) still gotta remember what buttons do what !
4) none for the adjuster

pro--- 5) very easy to hit thumb slider for throttle

con ----5) at about the 55% throttle mark is an indent in the throttle slider
it has thrown me off when flying I thought I hit full throttle but it was only the tick for halfway.... Also slider is hard too move at moment but I'm sure will break in .

Overall statement.----

this is an easy quickie plug and play usb stick that will do the trick for the $29.99


now after last nights game I need to practice carrier landings !!!!
new stick, good kills and crap points cause I crashed and burnt every time !

True, mainly for the right hand, but if your sturdy enough, and get that left hand from being lazy, you won't even know the difference.

Aw c'mon, you gotta remember, there's not many buttons, LOL! My 5 and 6 buttons are my rudder trim, easy to remember because there set up side by side each other, so 5 is my trim left and 6 my trim right, button 8 being the rudder trim neutral. Buttons 9 and 10 are for elevator trim, simple taps to the buttons and/or holding the buttons down for 2-4 seconds manage the trim carefully. 9 being the trim positive, 10 being trim negative.

The throttle is a bitch when it comes to throttling up to 55%, especially if you were flying a jet with a very sensitive engine, it's bound to catch fire simply because that indent cause you to twitch and slide up real fast. Vary your speed carefully around that point. The previous model did not have the throttle indentation.

Thrustmaster has a new stick out called the T.Flight HOTAS X

Think about it, the F-16 has the flight stick on the right side of the cockpit, the F/A-22 or in some models has the flight stick on the right side of the cockpit, I really don't like that idea of the flight stick being way to the right. But for this model, the throttle is detachable to make the is seem like that, though I'm still gonna have my flight stick in the middle. It's just the way i'm use to flying. Still consider this an option, when its becomes available that is. Obviously a good stick if it is already out of stock.

Glad to have a joystick review YOKE, we have got to do this more often, though the others are just gonna say that the Saitek X52 will dominate over all.
