Testing for the next Wings~of~War campaign
S!~ All,
I am currently testing for the next Wings~of~War campaign which will be Wings~of~War: Midway 1942 (subject to change if it turns out that it is not practical). I know that RCAF has been anxious to fly a campaign that includes carrier operations, and I think this would be a lot of fun. Please feel to connect to the server and fly a bit, and provide me with some feedback. One thing that I am already thinking is that we may want the map icons on because we will be navigating a large body of water. On one hand it should be a learning experince since we'll likely have to navigate by time, speed, and distance, but I am also thinking that it may just be too much for some and I don't want to drive anyone away.
I will update everyone on the progress as information becomes available.

I will work and am willing to learn anything that comes up. Limited icons would be nice, but if not, that is ok and I will learn to Identify without them.

Any possibility of giving the land base at midway 6-9 B-17s/B-25s (B-26s that were there aren't in the game)? Also, I am not a big fan of the tremendous distances involved to get to the enemy...

I had the B-17 and B-25 in the game when I started testing early this morning, but they were being placed on the carriers as well as the land base. I couldn't figure out why, so I removed them. Besides, this gives each side a torpedo bomber (B5N & TBF), which evens things up a bit.

Ah rgr, nope no password, however a new problem based on an existing problem. The TBF...... can't fly that neither, just like the A4, by the way that was my first time seeing the cockpit for it. I reckin' space may get the same thing too, "timeout2" message.

Could also include PBN-1s To do searches and submarine hunting
Also need the TBF-1Cs this was the first time they were used in battle only 1 of the 6 survived.
Its a shame there are no TBD Devastators in the list. This was a big battle for them...even if they went 0-4 strikes. If it weren't for the failed attack of Torpedo 8 and 6. Bomber 3, and 8 wouldn't have been been successful.
I say skip the icon...it gives more incentive to stay together
