Wow What a historical loss.
Not many of those birds flying anymore.
The fact those babies are pushing 70 years old and still flying is amazing!!!

Oh what a sad story! "Liberty Belle" had an engine fire and made an emegency landing in a corn field everyone got out OK but the aircraft was consumed by the fire.

G-Dammit! I hate it when this happens. Very sad. There's got to be a way to moderize all the engine and electrical stuff to prevent this type of thing.

There are only 13 remaining airworthy B-17s in the world today. Man, I would love to take a ride in one.
