Wright State University in Ohio has been doing research to allow paralyzed patients to walk. It seems like they have been at this for over a decade.

To think, we once though the communicators on Star Trek were cool, now the technology is coming out as Droids, iPhones and 4G networks. Who said space travel was too expensive and of little value.
