USL

Unread post by 14./JG5_CRASH »

My AVG brothers,

14./JG5 just joined the USL. We're getting it figured out, but let me tell you, this competition has been tweaked to be made for squadrons like ours. Fighters + ground attack, working towards a goal.

Originally I posted in here that they needed one more squadron in closed pit. But I was wrong. They need a squadron in open pit. I'm not sure if any of your guys are interested in open pit. But the format of the competition is the same.

Pity, because I really wanted you guys to join with us in CP, but I'm told it's too late for this round.

S! Crash and thanks for the heads up. I've been meaning to get over to that site and check it all it out but I've been really tied up with work and the holidays. I think we could get an open pit team together for this depending on the schedules.

While I still feel Open Pit is for people with weak constitutions, those who ride the shortbus, and people who have never used a PC before - I will say one positive thing.

It would teach many of us to work as a TEAM. We sometimes lack that...we definitely preach it, but in the heat of the moment we forget and lose each other quite often. This competition would force us to fly in pairs, one covering the other, etc.

Well, I started off in open pit, but since starting using TIR, I haven't ever looked back. And while I'd much rather have you in the CP competition with us, they have even teams, and the deadline has already passed. So, at least the OP would give you experience in the competition that you could bring with you to the CP league next time.

Here's a thought... is there a CP team you guys know of that may like to fly USL? If so, I could really push them to allow both you and them into the competition at the same time! But hurry, because we're starting in a couple weeks!

I won't be on TS until tonight, but I'll check back here often.

Laz, the guy in charge, says to register Closed pit, as they haven't been able to get a hold of one of the CP squads... so he'll slide you in. :D

Go here: http://uslglobal.com/forums/index.php?showforum=34

Follow the format. Then get as many guys registered on the forum as quickly as possible. You need at least 8 registered to be active. Unlike Forgotten Skies, your membership list is monitored via the forum. And you will connect directly to their game server with the name you registered with on the forum.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Depends on how well you do. The winners get carrots and wheat grass.

Losers get candy and ice cream.
