Re: Cockpit view of Space Shuttle Landing
This may be kinda silly, but I watched the landing of the Space Shuttle Columbia in an employee viewing area at Godard Space Flight Center, in Greenbelt, MD. As an employee of a NASA contractor, I received this:

Grown man still has this.

Re: Cockpit view of Space Shuttle Landing
I don't have anything that cool to show.
Seeing that reminded me of a part of my childhood. My father was a Professor of Electrical Engineering and spent a sabbatical in Houston in 1970-71. He worked on the early autopilot system of the shuttle at that time.
I went to classes with the astronaut's children and I can remember seeing the Apollo 11 exhibits. I ran with scissors and cut the crap out of my upper lip.

Essentially a very high flameout approach jet aircraft will do. Keep energy state high, speed brakes out, flare, de-energize, touchdown.
