For those of you using widescreen monitors and a manually reset resolution, you may have noticed that the top and the bottom of the screen are removed to enable the widescreen to work properly. This means that you need to move further back from the screen to get the default view you were used to if using 6dof.
I was given a headsup on a program that fixes this as well as adds in multiple monitor support. . check out http://il2fovchanger.byethost7.com/ I have yet to try it, but I intend to do so when I next feel compelled to tinker with my game

Re: San's FOV changer
Have it, use it , fantastic lil proggy !
My main use for it is when I taxi out , can pan out to see better, coupled with 6 dof can realy look up the side of your plane .
Has saved me from a few ground mishaps already.
After rolling for TO I go back to normal views.
I do get a little "fishbowl" effect but not too bad when I'm zoomed all the way out. But at taxi speeds I am used to it.

Thanks Colslaw. I've been keeping my eye out for this post. I downloaded it, now I just need some time to set it up and try it out!

Re: San's FOV changer
Only took a moment to set up. . just add a line to your ini and it is basically set to go.
That fishbowl effect was unexpected .. especially on fast head movements. I think I need to play with it a bit more to decide whether to use it or not.

Re: San's FOV changer
i believe the stock fov is 110 ...
change it to 106 to almost eliminate the effect completely.
(at least on my monitor it worked )
numbers may vary with screen widths.

Re: San's FOV changer
If I get a third monitor (because I really "need" that, heh)...I would look at using this!
Until then I am pretty happy with my two monitor setup (widescreen for flying, 4:3 LCD for TS, maps, etc).
