This is a simple formation flying mission, produced as a co-op mission for single player.
No way points are provided to you so you must fly with leader.
Object: To fly in close formation with flight leaders ( 2 planes ) and command your 4 plane wing ( regroup, tighten, land them! ).
Scoring: Max score is 800 points, all way points and landing.
This mission can easily be modified for 4 players by turning off player option ( net co-op mission ).
More players by addtion of more wings.
May be a start for development of training missions?

Great Training Aid Derring.
How would I change the types of plane flown in the scenario to a Hurricane or another type of aircraft?

Load the map in Full Mission Biulider, File, Load, Net\Coop\Folder\Formation Flying.BigO wrote:How would I change the types of plane flown in the scenario to a Hurricane or another type of aircraft?
Zoom the map in on St. Paul (D3), northeast end of airfield until you can see 2 plane icons clearly. Select left plane icon, View, Object. Under Type select plane, Properties select Army, Plane1 select/deselect Player box, (single/coop). File, SaveAs, 'HurricaneFormation'. Select right plane icon. Under Type select plane, Properties select army (AI defined here). File, Save, Exist, And Fly.

Salute Derring!
I tried to modify the mission per your instructions and could not get it to go. I am just not that familiar with IL2 yet.
Any chance you could change the planes to P40 E's and send me the mission file (RAR format)?
Please let me know if this is possible
Thanks.

Then you have to start picking Tiger's brain!

Object: Trim the ailerons, rudder, and elevators of the agile Buffalo MK I to fly in close formation with flight leaders ( 2 planes ) and command your 4 plane wing ( regroup, tighten, land them! ).
Why the Buffalo MK I?
Because you really do need to trim all 3 secondary control surfaces to fly this plane!
Scoring: Max score is 800 points, all way points and landing.
This mission can easily be modified for 4 players by turning off player option ( net co-op mission ).
More players by addtion of more wings.
