AA and HSFX?

So we are supposed to use 4.12.1 and hsfx for crimea 1944? Hsfx hasnt been officially cleared for 4.12.1. Can i just install hsfx on top of 4.12.1? Currently im running 4.12...

Well, I'm currently running 4.12 without hsfx, but could try and install 4.12.1 and then hsfx, or hsfx then 4.12.1.
My concern is the order they need to be installed in and the compatibility of hsfx with 4.12.1.

Well, I figured that someone else must have done it before and knows which way works, so that I don't have to reinstall everything in case something goes wrong. I guess I'll just copy the Il2 folder and give it a try...

No need to try it, Doug. I already did. As far as I can tell, HSFX is only compatible with 4.11.1m. So, if you merge the installations, you'll have a stock 4.12.1m and HSFX will be 4.11.1m.

installing HSFX over 4.12.1 will just screw up your game .. installing 4.12 + 4.12.1 over 4.11.1 + HSFX .. will screw up at least HSFX ..
I'm just keeping separate IL-2 Strumovik 1946 folders by renaming .. one is 4.11.1 + HSFX
the other dead stock 4.12.1 (no jsme).. to which HSFX will be added to when they update
so .. under Ubisoft folder i may have
IL-2 Strumovik 1946 .. this is 4.12.1 stock .. in current use
IL-2 Strumovik 1946411fx .. this is my 4.11.1 + HSFX 6.01.17
to switch i rename so I have
IL-2 Strumovik 1946
IL-2 Strumovik 1946412
no need to change hyperlobby path to il2fb.exe .. takes less than a minute to change ..

Some migt remember me,others not...but been flying mostly cliffs of dover over on ATAG-s servers since november last year.
Saw mails for these online wars for quite some time, but had a bit of problem trying to get back to Il-2 46 after getting used to the complex engine managment playing COD.
But this sounded like fun, and will try to jon in some evenings flying for the red side.
Hope will meet some of you guys on
