Aircraft selection
Figured to keep this interesting for both sides. Pretty much any late war aircraft is going to be availible.
We just need to know what your squadron's preference is for Japanese fighter, fighter bomber, medium bomber; same for the American's please. Thank you.

Are any of the aircraft types going to be limited in any way?

Not this first time out but in future campaigns, yes some aircraft will be limited.

Are any of the 'mod' planes allowed? Like the late war Betty than can carry the Cherry Blossoms?

Re: Aircraft selection
Kondor....No mod aircraft, run straight 4.08 this first time around. Keepin it easy. No jets, no rockets. Japs will fly jap, Roundeyes will fly US aircraft.
Skyhawk, you are correct.
Let me clearify the idea behind the aircraft selection. Each squadron will select thier prefered aircraft for each of the three classes, (fighter, fighter bomber, medium bomber) those aircraft will be availible to the entire team.
If all the allied teams picked thier fighter as the mustang and thier fighter bomber to jug. Then they will only have the mustang and jug as fighter.... but if each squadron picks different aircraft for each class. Your side will have several fighters and fighter bombers to choice from. The combinations might be interesting. The main goal behind this is to ensure, everyone enjoys the plane they are going to be stuck in for a week.
This first campaing run is meant to be very inviting and not be too restrictive.
Chip, its about darn time sir. Welcome aboard!!

Re: Aircraft selection
lolol Mr. Fubar. Each squadron gets to pick 1 aircarft for each class.
Im guessin' the Betty is your choice for your medium bomber.
What you want for the fighter, the 84c?
And which of the remaining 7 aircraft you picked would you like to carry bombs for the fighter bomber?
