During the Italy Campaign of the 2009 season of Forgotten Skies, Major Derring was exemplary in his dedication and instrumental in contributing to the success of the mission in that he flew in 43 of the 48 total missions. Major Derring is hereby awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service.
