I used the system restore disk on my computer, deleted everything, and now I have no sound, its not detecting any devices either can someone please help me?

holy smokes! I just did the same thing on an old laptop. Im having a hell-of-a-time getting the wireless device to work.

And survey Says... Drivers!

I tried the drivers, but no go. Its an older compaq v5000, but it would run Il2 1946 on very low settings and it would automatically connect to the internet. Oh well, in the house I can hook it up to a compact wireless USB thing. This isn't fixing the problem , but it's getting the job done.

Crap that usually does it for me, well I tried.

PC's are a major Pain! MB drivers for onboard sound and ethernet unless useing a sound card or ethernet card. laptops no idy! never had one.
