Stock 4.09 with improved sounds?

S! all
Looking at running just 4.09 (no ultrapack and no hsfx) due to poor frames and frequent kicks with the modded games. is there a way I can get the sounds from hsfx in stock 4.09 without the rest of it?

When you want just stocked 4.09m, that's all you'll get unfortunately. It's bare basics mate. It was thought that sounds may also render frames to be low.

If you think it might be the sounds giving you grief, try the 00_defaults_SOUNDS mod and check it out.

no, my thought is that the rest of the package is giving me grief.
but I hate the stock sounds, especially for the 109
