Lt. Colonel Space has distinguished himself in the face of the enemy. During the period from January to June 2010, Lt. Colonel Space served in Kuban in the 1942 Multi-Sector Campaign, flying a total of 21 sorties. Of the 79 participants in the sector, Lt. Colonel Space placed 3rd overall in total infantry kills, and tied for 9th place overall for total ground targets destroyed.

Lt. Colonel Space is hereby awarded the Distinguished flying Cross. Lt. Colonel Space has brought honor and renown to the group, and his actions are in keeping with the highest traditions of the US Army Air Corps. They reflect well upon him, his unit, and the =AVG=.
