Spawn points
I don't know if you have any control over spawn points but I started engines and started rolling just to have someone spawn in front of me and I got killed. Not the best way to get kicked. Just curious, not complaining.

No , not that I know of.
We had a midway campaign a while back where we had only a few carriers to take off from and a bunch of people participating. We had to be very careful of when we spawned in and had to announce it just to make sure nobody landing or taking off would get killed.
I think you just got unlucky here.

It happens. Happened to me. All depends on who spawns what, where and the timing. Noticible only when the timing was bad.
As said above, comms works well but only when everyone is using it.

I ran into another player attempting to take off the other night for my very first sortie. The lesson is; be careful. 15 minutes can be a really long time.

I say if we complain long enough those guys over at Ultra Pack will find a way to control your spawn points and have it as a setting in FMB.

Raz, with all the other stuff running you might need a few more lines of code than that.
