Compatibility Poll - Version 4.08m vs 4.09m

I am considering running the Wings~of~War: Singapore 1941 Campaign in stock 4.09m. The reasons are as follows;

1.) AAA UI 1.1 is now obsolete with the release of AAA UI 1.2
2.) AAA UI 1.2 is now obsolete with the release of 4.09m
3.) AAA UI 1.2.5 will soon be obsolete with the release of AAA UI 1.3

So, my thinking is that we can expect the greatest number of players by using stock 4.09m since anyone who has upgraded to AAA UI 1.2.5 can easily switch back to stock 4.09m. I am testing the server in 4.09m and everything seems to be working correctly, except for the nationality of players generated by GeoIP.dat, which isn't terribly important.

Well I have to say that my 4.09m has been modified for HSFX, perhaps I could turn off the HSFX and it won't harm me in joining the Wings~of~War server.

Question: What if I still only have 1.1 or whatever was released several months ago? Do I need to DL 1.2 and 4.09m? Can someone point me to the link for downloading the correct files to fly with you guys?

The UI 1.2 now has and update to work with 409m official patch
It is called UI 1.2.5 and it runs on CRT 2, so you may wont to look
Into it as many of the servers on HL will be going to it as it now
Works with the newest official 409m patch.
There is a new switcher that has a stock IL2 1946 game, a stock 409m
Game and a 409m mod with 6DOF game, no more 408 or 409b games.

It will be out sometime next weekend so long as all goes well.

So basically were waiting for that patch that makes where we have to switch back and fourth from 4.09m and 4.08m.

That's of course because of some of the servers that will still run on 4.08m, though it is believe that 4.09m will take over and 4.08m will be obsolete. The 4.09b1m will also no longer exist when U.I. 1.3 is release, well it just won't be a need for it anymore.

I would prefer to have it in 4.09b using 1.1 or 4.08. .. however I am DLing 4.09m right now

with luck, this will be the final variant, and everyone will use it

Got 4.08m and 4.09m -- I've deleted AAA UI and now use UP1.8 exclusively.
