To this point we have always based the campaigns on historical battles. I suppose we could consider doing a hypothetical campaign, such as Wings~of~War: Berlin 1946.

This would be my preferred method of having a jet vs. jet campaign.

I just thought it should be pointed out.

Okinawa 1945 (April 9-15, 23-29 2011)

This one will interesting to see how it plays out. There was virtually no Japanese air power left and what aircraft they did have was used for kamikaze attacks on ships.

Ardennes 1944 (May 7-13, 21-27 2011)

Also known as the Battle of the Bulge was a German offensive in December of 44. By this stage of the war the Luftwaffe was basically powerless and the only reason the Germans were able to mount the offensive with any hope was because the weather was too bad for anything to fly until Dec 23 and then the allies were able to turn the battle around since they were finally able to get in the air and the Jugs could blast them Panzers.

Tobruk1941 (August 6-12, 20-26 2011)

Not really anything to due with aircraft either This was another Land battle

France 1940 (September 10-16, 24-30 2011)

The Germans were able to make great use of air power here but it was very one sided. The French didn't really have planes that could compete and they were completely on the defensive.

Berlin 1945 (October 8-14, 22-28 2011)

Russia owned the air, suicide for a German to even taxi down the field.

Basically I guess the point I'm trying to make is that WoW is only very loosely based on historic battles of WWII but they need to use a lot of artistic license for the playability of the game so both sides can fun and a chance of winning.

Allied

Yak-3
La-7
Il-2 Type 3M
Pe-2 Series 359

Axis

Bf-109K-4
Fw-190 D-9
Bf-109G-6/AS
He-129 B-3/Wa
FI-156 Storch
Here's where the limiting of aircraft comes into play. Now look what we have. We have comparable fighter planes and one each small bomber. This could turn out to be the best plane set yet. ;)
