Code
of Conduct
1
- CHEATING: The =AVG= does NOT cheat under any circumstance.
Any
proven accusation of cheating of an =AVG= member will result in the
expulsion of the group from a league, and will cause undue,
irreparable damage to the group reputation.
2
- CONDUCT: The =AVG= will use a gentlemanly behavior in public forums
and lobbies.
No
insults, cursing or bad-mouthing will be allowed. Discussions in
lobbies and forums can often be heated. Ensure that the behavior you
display as a member is in keeping with the high standards of conduct
upheld by the The =AVG=. In addition to lobbies and forums, behavior in
games, whether they are for fun, or league competitions, will be held
to the highest standard of group etiquette. Do not complain about
the settings and or rules of any game you join. The host of the game
has the right to choose any settings and rules for his/her game. If you
do not like them, leave the game and join another, or host your own.
When playing a game hosted by another person show respect to the host
and strictly follow the game's rules. Be polite! Acknowledge a pilots
S! (Salute) with a salute. If you are complimented with something
similar to GK (Good Kill), respond in any pleasant manner you wish,
such as a simple TY (Thank You). If you get shot down, show respect by
saluting or complimenting. If you see something in a game that bugs
you, do not make any accusations or insinuations in public. Just say GG
(Good Game), leave the game, and communicate with your group or wing
leader on what happened.
3
- TEAMMATES: An =AVG= member sticks up for his comrades.
Always
defend yourcomrade if you see him being attacked or provoked by others,
no matter the situation, keeping section #2 in mind. Everyone is
innocent until proven guilty. If your comrade did something wrong, the
=AVG= leaders will decide on a course of action. Until then, he is your
comrade and should be defended. Next time, you may be the one in need
of backup.
4
- SECURITY: Keep group internal business inside the group.
Never
take our problems or discussions outside of the group. If you have a
problem with any of your comrades try to solve it with him. If you
can't reach an understanding, take the problem to your wing leader or
to the group officers, but never vent outside our ranks.
5 -
COMMITMENT: The
=AVG= is a virtual online group, but we like to think of ourselves as a
family. A brotherhood.
It
is understood that everyone has work, family, and all the other affairs
that keep us busy. All the =AVG= asks is that you try to spend some
time online with your =AVG= family too; at least on a weekly basis. No
one is required to be online for any amount of time, but the only way
to keep an online community alive is to show up. If you think you will
have to stay away for some reason, please let your wing leader or the
group high officers know. If you can’t fly with us please
stay in contact with us, we just want to know that you
haven’t fallen off of the face of the earth.
6
- GAMING: The =AVG= isn't dedicated exclusively to one single game.
Presently
it has members in IL-2, and may expand to other games in the future. It
is required to have the latest game patch for the games you are
participating in. Every game made has some type of flaw or many flaws,
so it is asked to please refrain from being overly critical of the
games the =AVG= is currently playing. Try to focus on the good points
of a game, versus the negatives. It is hard for some comrades to enjoy
a game when they hear constant negative comments about it over comms.
7
- PROBATION: The =AVG= is not an exclusive or a closed online
community; however, every new recruit who joins the =AVG= will undergo
a probation period of one month.
During
this time, he or she will be evaluated, not only for flying skill, but
also for character, behavior and teamwork with the other members of the
group. At the end of this period the recruit will either continue as a
full fledged =AVG=, be asked to change their shortcomings, or be asked
to leave.
8
- COMMUNICATION: The success of the =AVG= relies heavily on
communication between everyone in the group ranks both in the sky
and on the ground.
We
strongly recommend the use of TeamSpeak for voice communications.
Without voice communications, we cannot operate effectively as a team.
The =AVG= has provided a TeamSpeak server for group use. The =AVG=
has also provided a forum in which to discuss any and all team and game
related issues, as well as have some fun. Since this is the easiest,
most efficient way to put out information that affects all group
members, it is strongly encouraged that all members make a forum
account and read the issues and questions that are posted.
9
- GOOD SPIRITS:
It
is MANDATORY that all
pilots have a sense of humor! If you do not have a sense of
humor upon
joining the =AVG= you will be issued one. We joke around a lot on
TeamSpeak, and generally have a good time. The main point of the
existence of the =AVG= is to get together with friends and have a fun
time flying. This is the code of conduct of the The =AVG=. The
violation of any of our rules will be scrutinized by the Commanding and
Executive Officer of the group, and a decision will be made
regarding the outcome. The member will have the right to defend his
actions or against accusations; however, once a decision is made it
will be final, with no right to appeal.
